This is based on a patch supplied by dam-soft. A new graphics mode is
added to the PSP port. The graphics mode is called '4:3 Aspect Ratio'
and fixes the incorrect AR. The older modes are also still present and
behave as before.

The register keyword was deprecated from the C++11 standard,
<http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/papers/2014/n4193.html#809>,
and removed from the C++17 standard,
<http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/papers/2015/n4340>, so
cannot exist in a well-formed C++17 program.
It has never done anything in GCC
<https://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2010-05/msg00113.html>
and because of the way it is specified in the standard, it is “as
meaningful as whitespace”
<http://www.drdobbs.com/keywords-that-arent-or-comments-by-anoth/184403859>.
The one remaining use of the register keyword is in the DS backend,
where it is used to create a local register variable using the
non-standard GCC Extended Asm feature.
Closes gh-1079.

General consensus on the ML was that people wanted to do this.

This reverts commit eefa72afa1978a9dea10f5b1833fcc8f58a3468e.
With this patch ConfigManager is broken.
|
|
This fixes tons of warnings with clang from a recent xcode version on
macOS (and possibly other systems) complaining that an instantiation
of _singleton is required but no definition is available.

GSoC2012: Event Recorder (reworked)

This would cause a compilation error when the __PSP_DEBUG_PRINT__
define was enabled for debugging as the variable is non-existant.

OSYSTEM: Use void buffers for screen/overlay/mouse buffers and proper pitch values for overlay code
|
|
pitch values.
This is a first step to get rid of OverlayColor, which is a requirement for
proper 4Bpp overlay support.

This is mainly for consistency with OSystem::copyRectToScreen.

*" as buffer.
This removes the need to convert the parameter to copyRectToScreen to
"const byte *", which is commonly used in games, which use Graphics::Surface
to store their graphics data.

Did not adapt bada or ps2 backends as I'm not sure how they should be handled
|
|
logic.
All uses of the old target scale API actually wanted to disallow scaling of
the mouse cursor. This commit adapts our API to this and thus simplifies
backend implementations.
Some backends, most notable the Wii and Android, did some implementation of
the cursor target scale, which I didn't adapt yet. I added a TODO for the
porters there.

This does not change the use of defined for some NDS source files, since they
seem to be (based on?) third party code.

find -name '*.h' -or -name '*.cpp' | xargs sed -r -i 's@\(([A-Za-z0-9]+)\*\)@(\1 *)@g'
This seems to have caught some params as well which is not undesirable IMO.
It also caught some strings containing this which is undesirable so I
excluded them manually. (engines/sci/engine/kernel_tables.h)

The header contains forbidden symbols on some platforms, and the
simplest solution seems to be to include it here. This also includes
it from all the portdefs.h files, except the Symbian one. Probably
the FIXME and the #if can be removed once it's known to work.

Silences the clang warning:
static data member specialization of '_singleton' must
originally be declared in namespace 'Common'; accepted as a C++0x
extension [-Wc++0x-extensions]
Wrapping "namespace Common {}" around the macro assignment causes clang
to complain about a spurious semicolon, and removing the semicolon at
the end of the macro causes some editors to misbehave.
Changing the requirement of using the macro in one namespace (the
global) to another (Common) seems a small price to pay to
silence a warning.

This tries to make our code a bit more compliant with our code formatting
conventions. For future use, this is the command I used:
git ls-files "*.cpp" "*.h" | xargs sed -i -e 's/[ \t]*$//'

This is used to provide default implementations for createConfigWriteStream
and createConfigReadStream, which can be used by most backends.
Note that backends can still override createConfigRead/WriteStream;
this could be useful if settings on some port are not stored in a
regular file (think 'Windows registry', for a hypothetical example).
